DedCool x Brooklinen Launch The Cool-Girl Nighttime Routine Spray

“This is unlike anything we’ve launched before,” Chaz tells E!. “It’s not a traditional fragrance. It is truly this wind-down pillow spray, ritualistic moment ... It’s so interesting. This was inspired partly because people were utilizing scent in their night routine because it gave them a sense of comfort,” she shared.

The Sleep Mode Mini Spray was intentionally created to feel calming and functional, blending soothing lavender with DedCool’s signature musky DNA. “We always have to have a musk because we [DedCool] are inherently musky,” Chaz laughs, alluding to how her fragrances tend to feature the skin-like scent profile. “Lavender is something that really brings peace within.

Chaz revealed that the spray also incorporates proprietary “rest note” technology developed with a fragrance house, using biotech-backed fragrance molecules designed to evoke feelings of calm and restfulness.

"There are actual molecules that we can implement into our formula that will give you this true experience of restfulness,” she says.

The focus on sleep rituals reflects Chaz’s own lifestyle. The founder admits she takes her nighttime routine very seriously, beginning her wind-down process around 8 p.m. with an early dinner, a walk, supplements, skincare, body oil, and scent layering before getting into bed.

“We wanted to give this effect of when you get to a hotel for the first time and you have this scent with crisp sheets,” she explains. “You have this moment where you’re like, ‘Okay, I’m in my zone right now."

The collaboration with Brooklinen felt like a natural fit, especially after Chaz became obsessed with the brand’s robe during the partnership process. “It is so lush and squishy,” she says. “I keep finding myself gravitating toward it.”

The launch also taps into the growing trend of “sleep fragrances” and scent layering at bedtime, something Chaz says she finds fascinating—even if she personally prefers pillow sprays and body oils over wearing perfume to sleep.

“My sleep scent is my oils and my pillow spray,” she says. “Fragrance is more how I’m showing up during the day.”

And what fragrances is she showing up with during the day?

"I'm always trying new things and when older scents launched, I was already on like what we're launching in 2028. So it's kind of fun that I get to experience scents a few years ahead of when we launch."

"My Xtra Milk is with me at all moments of the day, it’s even in my car," she shared. "I have a Mochi Milk. So it’s really how I’m feeling. I always say Mochi is my happy scent."
