Deadly rattlesnake found in startling new location — as witness releases video

A peaceful afternoon at an Orange County beach turned into a nightmare when local captured chilling footage of a deadly rattlesnake slithering through the sand just inches from his bare feet.

TV host Nicky Paris shared last week’s video on his Instagram, showing the serpent near the water at Crystal Cove in Newport Beach.

Paris said he had just got out of the ocean when he felt a tickle in his big toe. When he looked down, he was stunned to find a “huge” rattlesnake –– on the beach.

People could be seen walking along the shore as the viper glided through the sand.

“It crawled right out of the water. Right all the way past the beach, in between my sandals, on the beach. I literally was watching it. And it just went right back up into the hill,” Paris said as he recorded the video.

The LA-based comedian was not bit by the serpent but the discovery left him shocked. After his close call, he’s warning visitors to be vigilant all the time because walking along the water’s edge is no longer safe.

An aggressive rattlesnake sent a woman to the hospital last week then returned to strike her beloved pet while she was still recovering.

The victim was cleaning up her cat’s toys in the backyard of her Los Angeles County home when the rattler emerged and bit her on the index finger. A day later, the snake returned and bit her pet cat named Magic.

Earlier this month, a Calabasas family also found a rattlesnake lurking in their backyard right where their children play.

Hugo Will—a Los Angeles-based cinematographer who has collaborated with industry legends like director Ted Kotcheff, editor Thom Noble, and director James Fargo—shared a video of the chilling discovery in his yard: the snake was hiding directly among his children’s scattered toys.
