Dancing alongside Reece Weaver herself made for a pretty convincing fashion test drive.

Reece Weaver and I swear by the same exercise dress — and after dancing in it all evening, I can confidently say it earns its place in my workout wardrobe.
As a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader-turned-Broadway star who is appearing in “Chicago” soon, Weaver knows a thing or two about clothes that need to keep up with movement. So, when she told me about her Halara collection, I was immediately intrigued.
The athleisure brand is known for comfy, fairly priced styles, and Reece has a full edit on its site. But the standout for me is the SoftlyZero Active Dress, which currently costs around $45.

Wanda Bogacka-PlucinskiI recently took a dance class with none other than the Weaver herself — pom poms included — and we spent the full evening dancing, kicking, turning and sweating in the same style.
It quickly proved to be more than a cute piece for low-key workouts. The built-in shorts gave me the coverage I wanted as we moved through choreography, while the dress had enough stretch to let me move without constantly adjusting it.
The side pockets are another practical touch — especially when I wanted somewhere to stash a small essential before class.

The under-$50 style really earned its place in my workout wardrobe. Wanda Bogacka-PlucinskiThis dress is the definition of “business in the front, party in the back.” The airy, backless crisscross design adds a little something extra. I love that it looks polished enough to wear beyond a workout, while still feeling like something I could actually exercise in.
Dancing alongside Reece herself made for a pretty convincing test drive. We spent the evening working through the kind of movements that can expose an uncomfortable or restrictive outfit pretty quickly. Instead, I found myself thinking about the dancing, not my dress.
That is exactly the kind of workout clothing I want: comfortable enough to move in, flattering enough that I feel good wearing it and affordable enough that buying another color does not feel like a major decision.
