Day off after the Super Bowl holiday is coming sooner than you think

Everyone wants a day off after the Super Bowl.

There's discussion every year about the creation of a national holiday to follow the big game, so that everyone who attends a party can relax before heading back to work.

Well, it might be coming sooner than you think, but purely by coincidence.

The 2027 Super Bowl will be on Valentine's Day. And yes, that'll come with its own set of challenges.

But the next day, Feb. 15, is Presidents Day. And that's a federal holiday.

That doesn't mean everyone is off work, but it helps a lot.

Kids won't have school. Many employees will either have the day off or have the option to take the day off.

It has the potential to create a glorious long weekend, particularly for the team that actually wins the Super Bowl.

Will it be the Seattle Seahawks, repeating?

How about the New England Patriots, getting revenge?

Could it be the Buffalo Bills, Kansas City Chiefs, Baltimore Ravens or Cincinnati Bengals bouncing back in the AFC?

What about the Dallas Cowboys? Ha, just kidding.

Regardless, the Super Bowl is a massive day on the calendar in this country.

And at least next year, many people won't have to worry about waking up for work the next morning.
