Davina McCall is opening up about her health battle.

The British TV host shared that she has been diagnosed with a benign brain tumor, also known as a colloid cyst, and that she will require surgery to have it removed.

The condition “is very rare,” McCall explained in a video shared to Instagram Nov. 15. “And so I slightly put my head in the sand for a while, and then I saw quite a few neurosurgeons. I got lots of opinions, and I realized that I have to get it taken out.”

The former Big Brother host—who shares children Holly, 22, Tilly, 21, and Chester, 17, with ex-husband Matthew Robinson—noted that she initially found out about the condition a few months back thanks to a health scan that was offered to her by a company that she had previously done a menopause talk for.

While the results of the scan were a complete shock, McCall, 57, knew right away that surgery was her best option.

“It's 14 millimeters wide, and it needs to come out,” the Masked Singer presenter continued in the video, “because if it grows, it would be bad. So I'm having it removed via a craniotomy. They go through the top of my head here and through the two halves of my brain to the middle. Get the cyst. Empty it. Take it out. Bob’s your uncle.”

While McCall shared that she remains in “good spirits,” she asked viewers to “say a prayer for me.”

Now, it seems that McCall has already undergone the procedure, and that her health is headed in a positive direction, as her partner Michael Douglas wrote on her social media alongside the video from McCall.

“Hey everyone. Michael here,” he explained in the caption. “@davinamccall will be ‘off grid’ for a bit while she recovers from this brain operation. She is in great shape and in very good hands.”

While she recovers, the hairstylist promised to keep posting updates to her social media page, and took a moment to thank fans for their continued support.

“I’ll I do the odd update from her account here for anyone interested,” he continued. “I’m sure she’ll read all the comments when she’s able to so feel free to send love. The support of people is amazingly powerful. Have a great day everyone. Michael xxx.”
