David Hasselhoff is giving fans an update on his health after being spotted in a wheelchair at Los Angeles International Airport earlier this week.

The 72-year-old Baywatch icon, seen limping with his wife Hayley Roberts on Monday, May 5, revealed to a paparazzo, per Page Six, that he’s facing a health challenge. "I’m having knee surgery next week," he shared, acknowledging the pain he was enduring during the outing.

Despite the setback, according to the outlet, Hasselhoff appeared in good spirits as he was escorted through the airport in a wheelchair. Dressed in a blue-and-white striped shirt and black pants, he kept a low profile with a black baseball cap. Roberts, 45, was by his side, wearing a blue button-up shirt, brown pants and a sweater.

This health update comes on the heels of a tough few months. In March, Hasselhoff did not attend the funeral of his ex-wife, Pamela Bach, who tragically passed away by suicide at the age of 62. The couple, who were married from 1989 to 2006, share two children together, Taylor, 35, and Hayley, 32.

“We are deeply saddened by the recent passing of Pamela,” Hasselhoff posted on social media at the time, expressing gratitude for the support his family received while asking for privacy during their mourning.
