Dave Coulier is coming to John Stamos’ defense.
The comedian, 65, clapped back at “a bunch of negative comments” via Instagram after his former “Full House” co-star, 61, was dragged for wearing a bald cap in solidarity amid Coulier’s cancer battle.
“It’s our friendship … and this is how we’re handling a very tough time,” he wrote on Tuesday. “Humor is what drives me.”
Coulier praised Stamos for knowing “how to cheer [him] up” as he faces stage 3 non-Hodgkin lymphoma.
“I laughed out loud when he arrived wearing a bald cap — being a true loving friend and brother,” he continued, wishing haters “nothing but love.”
The impressionist, who revealed his diagnosis on the “Today” show last week, wrote that he has since received messages from people “inspired by [his] words and actions to say they are going to check in with their doctors.”

Coulier added, “I’m still going to laugh in the face of adversity. When I lost my sister, Sharon, my mother, Arlen, and my niece Shannon to cancer, we tried to stay positive, and we made each other laugh through the worst of it.
“So I’m choosing to spread the word about early cancer detection to help people,” the actor concluded. “That’s just who I am.”
Stamos, for his part, has yet to address the backlash.
He posted Instagram photos shaving Coulier’s head — while looking hairless himself, thanks to “a bald cap and … some Photoshop skills” — on Monday.
The “Grandfathered” alum wanted “to show some love and solidarity” with the gesture.
He gushed, “You’re handling this with so much strength and positivity—it’s inspiring. I know you’re going to get through this, and I’m proud to stand with you every step of the way. I love you.”
Stamos also gave Dave’s wife, Melissa Coulier, a shout out, writing, “[She] is the most wonderfulest – your true life line!”
The couple tied the knot in July 2014.
Dave was previously married to Jayne Modean from 1990 to 1992, with whom he welcomed now-34-year-old son Luc.
Stamos promised in an Instagram tribute Wednesday that he will be by his “Fuller House” co-star’s side “through it all.”
