The daughter of the woman allegedly slain by Jill Biden’s ex-husband lamented the “paralyzing” loss of her mother, in a heart-wrenching social media post Wednesday.
William “Bill” Stevenson — who was married to the former first lady in the 1970s — was arrested Monday for allegedly killing his current wife, Linda Stevenson, at their Delaware home in December.
Linda’s daughter, Christine Vettori, described in a Facebook post how her mom was her best friend, with whom she spoke daily by phone and had dinner with every Friday.
“The pain of losing her is paralyzing and the emptiness in my heart is an abyss,” Vettori wrote. “Most days I can barely breathe.”
“For those who knew her, I’m sorry for the light that was stolen from you too,” the daughter said. “Together we will honor her memory by seeking justice for her murder and never letting her legacy to be overshadowed by her murderer.”
Linda, 64, was found dead in the Oak Hill home she shared with Bill, 77, on Dec. 28 after cops responded to a domestic dispute call and discovered her lying unresponsive on their living room floor.
Her cause of death has not yet been revealed, but after a weeks-long investigation, Bill was charged with murder in the case.
The alleged killer is currently being held on $500,000 bail after his arraignment in a Wilmington court Monday.
Bill was married to Jill Biden for five years until they divorced in 1975.
Jill married Joe Biden — then a Democratic Senator in Delaware — in 1977 after his wife, Neilia, tragically died in a car crash with their daughter.
Bill has claimed Jill and Joe had an affair before she was divorced and that Bill introduced the pair in 1972. But the Bidens have denied the affair allegations and maintained they first met on a blind date in 1975.
Vettori, in Wednesday’s post, said her mom “deserves her own story and not the story of ‘Jill Biden’s ex husbands [sic] other wife.'”
Vettori described how Linda was a bookworm who regularly participated in 5K running competitions “to support local charities and our healthy living.”
Vettori said her mom — now a grandmother too — had her at a young age and the mother-daughter duo “grew up together” and “did everything together.”
