Bobby Hurley secured another commitment for Arizona State, adding center Mor Massamba Diop to his 2025 recruiting class. College basketball insider Jon Rothstein shared the news of Diop's move to the Sun Devils, with the Senegalese big man providing much-needed size to Arizona State's lineup.

Diop played for a professional team in Spain before joining Arizona State to play in the NCAA. The 6'11 center delivered for Gran Canaria's B team last season, leading the squad in scoring, rebounding and blocked shots. Diop averaged 16.3 points, 7.0 boards and 1.6 blocks in his final year in Spain's secondary professional league.

Mor Massamba Diop's arrival is a welcome development for Bobby Hurley as Arizona State was lacking in size heading into the 2025-26 NCAA season. All of the Sun Devils' frontcourt players in the 2024-25 season have left the team. It didn't help matters for Hurley that four-star center Fridrik Leo Curtis withdrew his commitment from Arizona State.

Diop is the latest incoming freshman for Arizona State, joining forwards Marcus Jackson and Kash Polk in the Sun Devils' Class of 2025. Jackson was previously committed to Maryland before joining Arizona State. Polk had offers from Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Georgia Tech, and Colorado State before deciding to play with the Sun Devils.

Bobby Hurley secured the commitments of 10 players, adding Bryce Ford, Moe Odum, Anthony Johnson, Adante' Holiman, Andrija Grbovic, Marcus Adams Jr., Allen Mukeba, Vijay Wallace, Santiago Trouet and Jake O'Neil via the portal.

Dan Hurley also strengthened his lineup after he failed to lead the Huskies to a national championship for the first time in three years. The UConn coach secured the commitments of Malachi Smith, Silas Demary Jr. and Alec Millender.

Smith moved to Storrs after averaging 10.4 points and 5.3 dimes in his junior year with Dayton. Demary dazzled in his sophomore season for Georgia, averaging 13.5 points, 3.9 boards, 3.1 assists and 1.7 steals in the 2024-25 campaign.
