"The Land" has landed a pretty sweet (and on-topic) premiere date.
Dan Fogelman's forthcoming family-and-football drama will get underway with the first two episodes on Monday, February 15, Variety reports. One new episode will follow each week.
Per the series' official synopsis: "After several disappointing seasons, Cleveland Browns' head coach Danny Roarke (played by Chris Meloni, "Law & Order: SVU" and "Law & Order: Organized Crime") has one last chance to turn around his football team. His fate rests on a newly drafted Ohio State quarterback — who just happens to be his son. Meanwhile, the owner, Hal Durkin (William H. Macy, "Shameless"), must decide which of his two daughters is best equipped to take over the team."
It continues: "'The Land' is the story of two families, in which the high-stakes drama plays out not only on the field but also in the front offices of this NFL franchise, as a loyal fanbase wants a winning season now ... or face big changes if they don't."

Dan Fogelman ("This Is Us," "Paradise," "Pitch") created the series, and he will executive-produce and serve as showrunner. Other EPs include Justin Adler, Jess Rosenthal, Kevin Falls, David Ellison, Jesse Sisgold, and Jason T. Reed.
Produced by 20th Television and Skydance Sports, Fogelman serves as creator, executive producer and showrunner. Jess Rosenthal, Kevin Falls, Justin Adler, with David Ellison, Jesse Sisgold, and Jason T. Reed also executive produce.
