Jamie Benn has earned a lot of money from the Dallas Stars. The star forward just completed an eight-year, $76 million contract.
And now, the Stars will pay him a bit more.
Benn is in agreement with the Stars on a one-year, "bonus-heavy" contract, according to TSN's Darren Dreger.
The left winger will turn 36 on July 18.
A three-time All-Star, Benn is coming off a season with 49 points in 80 games (16 goals, 33 assists).

Benn has been with the Stars from the beginning. They picked him in the fifth round in 2007. That selection worked out pretty well.
Benn has played 1,192 NHL games, all for Dallas. He has 399 goals and 557 assists for 956 points.
His first goal in the new season will be 400 for his career, a fantastic milestone.
Benn has played at least 80 games in each of the last four seasons, suiting up every night even as he advances in years.
Dallas fans sure have to be happy about this move. They probably can hardly remember Stars hockey that didn't include Benn.
And at least for another year, Benn is sticking around.
