The Dallas Mavericks will take on the Utah Jazz at Delta Center in one of four NBA preseason games slated for Monday. This will be the second-to-last game of the preseason for both teams, giving them a chance to finalize roles and rotations ahead of the regular season.

The Mavericks have essentially addressed many of their deficiencies in free agency, bringing in D’Angelo Russell and Dennis Smith Jr. to bolster their backcourt rotations after Kyrie Irving’s ACL injury.

Even more important for the team was drafting Cooper Flagg with the No. 1 pick. As the rookie develops, his impact on the team will continue to take the sting out of trading Luka Doncic.

The Utah Jazz, meanwhile, have also had a productive summer. While the team is still far from assembling a winning roster, it has set itself up for success. Ace Bailey has been impressive in the preseason, while No. 18 pick Walter Clayton Jr. has also shown promising signs.

While these two will give fans much to be excited about, the Jazz have also acquired Kyle Anderson, Kevin Love, Georges Niang and Jusuf Nurkic, giving the team several veteran leaders in the locker room.
