Dakota Mortensen allegedly got Taylor Frankie Paul’s initials tattooed on his lips just hours after she promoted her now-canceled season of “The Bachelorette.”
In a protective order filed on Tuesday and obtained by Page Six, Paul claimed that, on Feb. 14, Mortensen sent her a photo of her initials tattooed on the inside of his lip — despite being broken up.
The mom of three said Mortensen’s “alarming” actions were an example of his “increasingly possessive and erratic behavior.”
“My initials are now permanently tattooed on the body of a man who has been abusive toward and possessive of me,” Paul stated.
The 31-year-old included images of her ex’s tattoo in her petition — which was filed in Salt Lake City, Utah — though she didn’t include the date the photos were taken.
Mortensen, 33, allegedly got the new ink just hours after Paul had shared a Valentine’s Day-themed promo post for “The Bachelorette” Season 22 on social media.
Per People, Mortensen allegedly showed the tattoo to their “Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” co-stars “on camera while filming the show” the next day.
Elsewhere in the TRO filing, Paul accused Mortensen of “bombarding” her with text messages “in an unwelcome attempt to resume their relationship” after their breakup.
She also claimed her ex showed up to her house in the early morning hours of Feb. 22, initially refused to leave, and then showed up again that night and the following day, which “put [Paul] in fear of abuse.”
When the pair fought in Mortensen’s car on Feb. 23, Mortensen allegedly “assaulted [Paul] by slamming her head against the dashboard of his truck and striking her knee and elbow,” according to her filing.
The TRO request contained multiple photos of injuries Paul allegedly sustained as a result of the assault.
The former couple, who share 2-year-old son Ever, had a court hearing in Salt Lake on Tuesday regarding Mortensen’s protective order filed against Paul on March 19.
In his petition, Mortensen claimed Paul had choked him in February during an alleged domestic violence incident.
Mortensen was granted the protective order, as well as temporary custody of Ever. However, a judge ruled Tuesday that Paul can only see her son up to six hours per week until the next court hearing on April 30.
The judge also granted Paul’s protective order on Tuesday, ruling that Mortensen has to stay 100 yard away from Paul until their April 30 hearing, according to TMZ. Mortensen also cannot email, text, call or communicate in any form with Paul.
The judge backed up his decision by citing the disturbing 2023 video of Paul attacking Mortensen in front of her now 8-year-old daughter, Indy, who was allegedly hit in the head with a metal chair thrown by Paul during the incident.
The video was leaked on March 19, shortly before ABC decided to scrap Paul’s season of “The Bachelorette” that was set to premiere three days later.
Paul’s rep later claimed that the leaked video “conveniently omits context” from the former couple’s brawl.
