The Dallas Cowboys travel to face the Denver Broncos, and with a 3-3-1 record, getting a proper read on Brian Schottenheimer's team isn't easy.
The offense is so good that it can light up any defense, but conversely, Matt Eberflus' defense, for the most part, has allowed opposing offenses to score at will, so the Cowboys are tricky to gauge.
But up next is a Denver team that, on defense, is one of the best in football, and offensively, with Bo Nix, can have its moments as well. With the offense so prolific with CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens, along with the small defensive improvement, what have the Cowboys proved in the first weeks?
Dak Prescott gave a rather interesting answer.
“That we can play, we're going to be tough, you better be ready to come in and fight on all phases,” Prescott said. “We're going to give you everything that we've got. Resilient group. More importantly, a group that trusts each other, that has each other's back, and we're going to do whatever it takes.”

Can Cowboys get after Denver defense?
Given the abundance of weapons for Schottenheimer, getting Lamb, Pickens, Javonte Williams, Jake Ferguson, KaVontae Turpin, and others involved means the Broncos' defense will have a lot of weapons to cover.
But that is where the pass rush, which has an incredible 34 sacks on the year already (leads the league), comes into view. Dak will be under pressure consistently, so it will be up to the offensive line to give Prescott time to get the ball to his weapons.
The run game will also be key in slowing down Denver's pass rush, and in a homecoming of sorts for Javonte, he'll want to put on a show.
It is shaping up to be a crucial battle between a high-octane offense and a stout defense.
