Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys suffered a disappointing 34-26 loss at the hands of the Minnesota Vikings last week. With a 6-7-1 record and a two-game losing skid, they now have a 1% percent chance of making this season's playoffs.
Despite just three games left in the season and a near-impossible task, the Cowboys decided to retain Dak Prescott as the starting quarterback despite concerns of probable injury. During Thursday's press conference, the quarterback said that he wants to be out on the field for his team.
"Absolutely," Prescott said. "Being a professional, this is my job. This is what I love to do. Sitting out last year and the times before, you don't take this for granted. You play every game to win. You play every game with a chance to go to the playoffs and play in the Super Bowl.•

Against the Vikings, Dak Prescott had a scoreless night, completing 23 of 38 passes for 294 yards. This season, the quarterback has tallied 3,931 yards and 26 TDs passing with 10 interceptions and 24 sacks.
Cowboys coach Brian Schottenheimer also confirmed that he had no intention to bench Dak Prescott for backup Joe Milton.

After Sunday's loss to the Vikings, Dak Prescott was questioned about their chances of being a contender for this season's playoffs.
The Cowboys quarterback gave a practical response, stating that while their chances are close to zero, it will not sway him from giving his 100% on the field.
"Unfortunately, I'm sure the playoffs are out of the picture, but it's only about taking pride in who you are as a man, and not only that, and your job and everything that's gotten you to this point," Prescott said.The Cowboys are second in the NFC East behind the Super Bowl LIX champions, the Philadelphia Eagles (9-5).
