Cristiano Ronaldo's Al-Nassr weigh the possibility of signing Arsenal star

Al-Nassr are going through transformative years as they have appointed new manager Jorge Jesus, replacing Stefano Pioli. The Portuguese tactician will be tasked with taking the team to the top of the Saudi Pro League.

Star player Cristiano Ronaldo has also had a say in Jesus' appointment, as he also signed a bumper contract extension with Al-Nassr

After finishing third in the 2024/25 Saudi Pro League campaign, Al-Nassr needed an overhaul. They finished 13 points behind the champions, Al-Ittihad.

Therefore, Al-Nassr are looking to bring reinforcements to aid Jesus and Ronaldo with the motivation of winning the league and also contending for the Asian Champions League elite.

As per the latest reports via transfer insider Ben Jacobs suggest that Al-Nassr are plotting a move for Arsenal forward Gabriel Martinelli.

They were pushing for a move to sign Liverpool's Luis Diaz, but due to uncertainty over the Colombian's future, Al-Nassr have shifted their focus to Martinelli.

According to reports, Al-Nassr are ready to offer Martinelli a tax-free salary of around €20 million, nearly triple his current Arsenal wages, to lure him to Saudi Arabia.

Where would Martinelli end up this summer?

The Brazilian has been one of the most crucial players for Mikel Arteta last season. He netted 10 goals and provided five assists from his 51 appearances across competitions.

However, he provides much more to the Gunners than just goals and assists. His work rate, versatility and pace make him one of the first names in the teamsheet for Arteta.

Al-Nassr also believe that the Brazilian's pace and work rate will complement Ronaldo. Also, playing alongside the Portuguese icon, he would get some great opportunities to score.

Martinelli's current contract with Arsenal runs until 2027, and the Gunners are in a strong position to negotiate with his suitors.

Apart from Al-Nassr, Bayern Munich were also weighing the option of signing the 24-year-old. But Arsenal are keen to hold onto the Brazilian, who is key to their Premier League aspirations.
