Crazed Wendy’s staffer stabbed co-worker in head while telling her, ‘I am going to kill you

A crazed Illinois Wendy’s staffer has been sentenced to 12 years in prison for repeatedly stabbing a co-worker in the face and head while telling her, “I am going to kill you.”

Tichina Marshall, 29, had “previously threatened to kill [her co-worker]” a month before her savage attack at the now-closed Danville eatery in May last year, prosecutors revealed, without giving a motive for the hatred.

She then struck when her co-worker was chatting to their manager — with video catching her stabbing her colleague “at least two times in the face and once on the top of the head,” the Vermilion County State Attorney said.

The victim was found “laying on the floor, bleeding uncontrollably and nearly unconscious” with a one-inch “stab wound to the head and a fractured skull,” prosecutors said.

Marshall was charged with attempted murder and aggravated battery and faced up to 30 years in prison, WCIA reported.

But the latter charge was dropped in a plea deal, with Marshall pleading guilty to attempted first-degree murder on Friday.

She was sentenced Thursday to 12 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections, a penalty reflected “the violent nature of this attack and the devastating injuries suffered by the victim,” state attorney Jacqueline Lacy said — while stressing that no sentence “can undo the lasting effects” of Marshall’s rampage.

Marshall will face three years of mandatory supervised release when she’s eventually freed.
