Cowboys predicted trade lands 1,006-yard WR to pair with CeeDee Lamb

The Dallas Cowboys need wide receivers.

It's CeeDee Lamb and a bucket of nothingness in Dallas. That's not exactly ideal for Dak Prescott to throw to.

To be fair, I know Jalen Tolbert and Jonathan Mingo are back. They'd probably be the 2-3 WRs if the season started today.

Bleacher Report has a better idea. B/R's Alex Kay says the Cowboys should trade for George Pickens from the Pittsburgh Steelers.

"The Dallas Cowboys are an ideal team to swing a blockbuster trade with," writes Kay. "They seem desperate for an upgrade in the receivers room after failing to come away with a rookie wideout in the draft.

"... If Dallas is going to return to the playoffs and start the Brian Schottenheimer era off by seriously contending, the team must shore up the receiving corps as soon as possible. With every marquee free agent already under contract, a deal for Pickens is the best way to accomplish this goal."

Pickens has averaged 1,006 yards per season in his NFL career.

The Steelers could deem Pickens expendable after acquiring DK Metcalf and paying him a lot of money.

They could also prefer to keep the double weapons, especially if Aaron Rodgers is still coming to town.

But don't rule out a Cowboys trade for a receiver in general, especially if someone like Pickens actually becomes available.
