Cowboys injury updates: Latest news on Dallas' missing starting offensive linemen

2 hours ago 3

The Dallas Cowboys are extremely short-handed along the offensive line for the Week 5 game against the New York Jets.

The Cowboys are without four starters in total, including Tyler Booker (ankle) and Tyler Guyton (concussion), both of whom were ruled out before kickoff, Cooper Beebe (ankle), who is on injured reserve and Tyler Smith (knee), who is active Sunday but will only play in an emergency, ESPN's Todd Archer revealed.

Archer adds that, from left to right, the Cowboys will start Nate Thomas, Hakeem Adeniji, Brock Hoffman, T.J. Bass and Terence Steele versus the Jets.

Guyton and Smith have a chance to return next week, although that has yet to be confirmed. Smith dressing today shows he's close, but Guyton remains a bit of a uncertainty with his concussion.

Booker is dealing with a high-ankle sprain that could take four to six weeks to heal from. On the low end, he could return as soon as Week 8, and on the high end he might return after the bye in Week 11.

However, given the fact that Booker wasn't placed on injured reserve means there's hope he will be back on the lower end of that timeline.

Beebee is expected to miss six to eight weeks in total. He was placed on IR in Week 3, so Week 8 is the earliest we can expect him to return. On the higher end, he may remain sidelined until Week 11.
