The Dallas Cowboys and owner and general manager Jerry Jones got the win they needed over the Houston Texans, 34-30, but that doesn't mean things are perfect. Sure, it's great for Dallas to see quarterback Dak Prescott leading this offense to a win, but here's one glaring problem the Cowboys need to address if they want to go all the way.

It's not necessarily a problem that stands out, either. It's more under-the-radar, which is why it may be less obvious to pick up on.

In a feature from ESPN about the NFL's Week 4 games, Todd Archer points out what the team has to do going forward and a concerning issue.

Cowboys have a field goal protection problem

"The Cowboys must figure out a lot of things, but their field goal protection is near the top of the list," he notes in the piece.

Then, he adds that "for the second straight game, Brandon Aubrey had a long field goal attempt blocked. Last week in Rio, it was a 59-yard attempt from his left side. On Sunday, it was a 62-yard try from his right."

Archer notes that the last time Dallas had field goal tries blocked two games in a row was in 1991. "Those Cowboys, however, won both games. These Cowboys split them," he adds.

So, the Cowboys have to work on protecting their chances to get field goal points. Anyone in the NFL knows that field goals can win games, and Dallas can't afford to leave points on the board like this if it wants to make a serious run.
