Cooper Flagg and the Dallas Mavericks hosted the New Orleans Pelicans at the American Airlines Center on Wednesday. Flagg once again headlined the Mavericks' starting lineup, with Max Christie, P.J. Washington, Daniel Gafford and D'Angelo Russell joining the former Duke phenom on the court.

After poor performances in back-to-back games, the pressure was on Flagg to redeem himself. He endured a slow start, missing his first three shots from the floor. The star rookie opened his account in the scoring column with a vicious dunk and was fouled in the process. While he made only one of his four attempts in the opening period, he was active on the glass and defensively.

Flagg was far more efficient in the second quarter than he was in the opening period. He made two of his three attempts from the floor, including swishing his first 3-pointer of the night.

At half time, Cooper Flagg had 8 points on 3 of 7 shooting, including 1 of 3 from beyond the arc, and 1 of 1 from the free-throw line. He also recorded three rebounds, two assists, two steals and one block in 18 minutes.
