Cooper Flagg is enjoying his vacation this NBA offseason after winning Rookie of the Year with the Dallas Mavericks. He will take the floor next season under new head coach Dusty May and new president of basketball operations Masai Ujiri, with several of last year's teammates already gone.
Klay Thompson agreed to a buyout with the Mavericks on Friday and is expected to sign with the Miami Heat. Kyrie Irving remains on the roster, meaning Flagg will share the court with the nine-time All-Star for the first time. Flagg can certainly expect many new experiences in his second season.
But that's still months away. For now, Flagg is spending his summer with girlfriend Arianna Roberson. Recently, a clip of the two, originally posted by @jakequery, has gone viral on X, showing a hilarious relationship moment between the couple.
In it, Roberson turned to Flagg and popped the ultimate hypothetical question: "Would you still like me if I was a basketball?"
— Fullcourtpass (@Fullcourtpass) August 22, 2026The way Flagg looked at her after rolling his eyes left Roberson with no choice but to crack up next to him. In the comments, fans are already saying they have a brand-new meme to share.
One wrote, "Bro got asked the hardest relationship question in basketball history."
Another added, "New meme just dropped 😂😂."
A third one penned, "It's time to upload a new meme."
The fourth simply asked, "New meme?"
A random X user claimed, “Thanks for extending my meme collection Flagg.”
Flagg and Roberson, a 6-foot-4 center for the Duke women's basketball team, went public with their relationship in May. Roberson posted a TikTok from a Turks and Caicos vacation showing the couple coordinating outfits and holding hands throughout the trip. Both are Duke Blue Devils, though they didn't overlap on campus before Flagg left for the NBA draft.
Rumors first sparked in April when Roberson sat with Flagg's parents at his Rookie of the Year press conference, right before they made things official the following month. She comes from a notable basketball family. For those who don’t know, her brother Andre Roberson spent seven seasons in the NBA, primarily with the Oklahoma City Thunder.
