This week, Connor McDavid’s wife Lauren Kyle moved forward with her latest Sports Club Atelier rollout as the brand shared new behind-the-scenes footage from its racing-inspired campaign.

On Friday, Lauren reposted a production reel titled “Spend a day on set w/ @laurenkyle1 & SCA” confirming the drop of the long-teased Oil Crew Canvas Jacket. The reel followed Lauren on set alongside other models as she oversaw the shoot and appeared in several scenes.

Lauren was also seen posing in multiple campaign looks including the new racing-themed jacket. The Oil Crew Canvas Jacket featured a paneled orange, white and navy layout built from structured canvas with embroidered patches across the chest and sleeves and lettering down the arm.

She accessories with a brown team-branded cap that had also been teased in earlier promotional material. Lauren reshared a second story from the brand’s Instagram account that featured her in the jacket from inside a vehicle.

“@laurenkyle1 in the Oil Crew Canvas Jacket,” read the caption of the original story.

The reel featured additional outfits worn by Kyle throughout the shoot including a navy crewneck paired with white trousers beside a blue performance car and a blue striped knit shown in track-side frames. The set design leaned into the motorsport theme with concrete backdrops and overcast lighting.

Lauren had previously teased the launch of the jacket as part of “Oilers Collection 03” from the Sports Club Atelier.

Connor McDavid’s wife fumbles rapid-fire question about his unanimous MVP season

Earlier last month, Edmonton Oilers captain Connor McDavid’s wife Lauren Kyle found herself in the spotlight after making an appearance at a team practice and later being featured in a viral Instagram video from the popular lifestyle account “WAGTalk.”

Lauren took part in the segment “How well do you know your NHL husband?” where she faced a rapid-fire quiz on McDavid’s career milestones and personal trivia. She moved confidently through most of the questions, correctly recalling that McDavid was drafted in 2015 and played for the Erie Otters and Toronto Marlboros during his junior career. She also cited his career-high 153-point season and his three Hart Trophy wins without hesitation.

One moment drew light laughter from both Lauren and the interviewer when she was asked what year McDavid became a unanimous MVP. She answered “2022” before being corrected to 2021 joking off the slip as the quiz shifted to other topics. She easily confirmed McDavid’s well-known nicknames including “Davo” and the fan-favored “McJesus.”

The segment also touched on the couple’s early history. Lauren shared that they first met through a cousin and immediately felt at ease with each other.

“I thought that we had a lot in common and that we were very comfortable with each other right off the bat,” she said in the interview.

Connor McDavid and Lauren Kyle married last year during the offseason in a destination wedding in Muskoka, Ontario.
