Connor Hellebuyck, when he's right, is the best goalie in hockey.
But right now, he's not right. The Winnipeg Jets will be without their injured netminder for a while.
TSN's Darren Dreger broke the news Friday that the Jets are shutting Hellebuyck down so he can undergo a "minor arthroscopic procedure."
The three-time Vezina winner so far this season has a 2.51 goals against average and a 91.3 save percentage.
How long is Connor Hellebuyck out?
Dreger's report indicates Hellebuyck will be out for between four and six weeks.
The six-week mark would take Hellebuyck into the first few days of 2026.
Will Connor Hellebuyck miss the Olympics?
The current injury timeline for Hellebuyck won't jeopardize his chances of being in net for the United States at the Olympics.
The Olympics don't begin until early February, so if Hellebuyck's timeline holds, he'll have a month to get back to form before putting on the U.S. sweater.
