Emmys 2024: Connie Britton Shares What Project She Wants to Work On Next

Connie Britton’s romance is a real-life Hallmark movie.

The Friday Night Lights alum stepped out with her boyfriend David E. Windsor for a press luncheon to promote her upcoming Hallmark Channel reality series The Motherhood, and the couple shared an adorable PDA moment together at the May 1 event at Glasshouse on the Park in New York City.

During their rare outing together, they shared a kiss at the daytime event, to which Connie wore a blue and white dress and white heels and David wore a blue sweater and salmon colored pants.

Connie is set to host The Motherhood, which premieres May 5 and focuses on helping single mothers "create more balanced and fulfilling lives for themselves and their families," according to the show's website. She will be joined by Angela RoseDestini Ann and Taryn Hicks, who are experts in parenting, style and home.

As for Connie, 58, and David, the couple last stepped out together to attend the 2025 Vanity Fair Oscar Party, over five years after they first met at a friend’s birthday party. For the Nashville actress, the moment they were introduced is one she will "never forget."

"I walked into his party and I was like, 'Oh my gosh, I don't know a single soul," she recalled during a January 2023 appearance on SiriusXM's Radio Andy. "I'm talking to my friend and he looks past me and he sees David across the room and he is like, 'There's someone here you have to meet.'"

However, after being sat at separate tables, they didn't get a chance to speak. So, Connie's friend—who was determined to set them up—coordinated to have the pair exchange emails.

Indeed, David reached out to her the next day, and since then, the producer has become a paternal figure to her son, Eyob, now 14, who she adopted from Ethiopia in 2011 as a single mom.

She told host Andy Cohen, "I have an amazing man in my life now and he is definitely stepping into that more paternal role."

The actress also provided insight into why their relationship works so well.

"What I was really looking for was a partnership where there's constant growth, on both sides, and a sort of deepening of each other,” she told Parade in their March 2025 cover story. "And therefore [a] deepening of who I am—and for him, who he is. So it makes me a better mom and a better actor, and just a better person in the world, and the same for him and for what he does. It's not just, like, 'Oh, I found true love.' It's that I found somebody who I can walk on a journey with that is going to be constantly ever-changing, but also ever-deepening."
