Tonga was initially trained by WWE Hall of Famers Bully Ray and D-Von at Team 3D, before making the trip to Japan.
It was in the land of the rising sun that Tonga, under the name Hikule'o made his debut as part of NJPW's On the Mat Internet PPV, coming up short to Henare.
He went on to use the name Leo Tonga throughout 2017, before joining The Bullet Club, alongside his cousins Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa.
Tonga was the replacement for Kenny Omega in the group, and officially changed his name to Hikuleo the following year.
In the years that followed, Tonga appeared for AEW and Impact Wrestling before eventually signing for WWE in July 2024. Surprisingly, it wasn't until a year later in the summer of 2025, that he finally debuted.
What's next for Talla Tonga on WWE SmackDown?
Tonga's name was slightly changed from Tala Tonga to Talla Tonga when he made his WWE debut, and he has since been thrown into a major storyline with Solo Sikoa.
The MFT's have been looking for a shot at the WWE Tag Team Championships in recent months but it seems that The Wyatt Sicks are dodging them. At the same time, Solo Sikoa wants back his United States Championship so the group are trying to send a message and make it clear that they are the dominant team on SmackDown.
