Since when is driving over someone else's driveway their fault?
There's nothing that can be as complicated as the relationship you have with your neighbors. If you have good neighbors, then there's a part of you that's relaxed and not worried about getting home and finding your property destroyed. But for other people, they are always unsure how the people next door are going to behave or react.
If you ask me, I've never had a problem with a neighbor. I did move around a lot growing up, so it's not like we got to form strong bonds with people, but we never had any disputes either. We got lucky in that way. But I have friends who are ALWAYS struggling with their neighbors. They are too noisy, or they decide to rearrange the furniture in their home in the middle of the night, or leave their parked car in a random spot instead of their own. They're always ruining someone else's life and don't do anything about it… they don't even apologize.
One time, a friend of mine told me that one of her neighbors complained about her dog barking. The worst part is that it was during the middle of the day, and the dog was in the yard playing and barking at other dogs and people. Nothing crazy, if you ask me. But the noise was enough for one of her neighbors to bang on her door and demand to enter the dog, or "there'll be consequences". Can you imagine? Consequences? She told her dad, and he went and talked to this man. Eventually, both apologized, and that was the end of the problem. The dog kept barking because it's a dog, but at least he didn't complain again.
In the following story, a man was very upset at his neighbor after he destroyed his brand new driveway. He had poured concrete the day before and put some safety cones so people didn't use it. Well, his entitled neighbor pretended the cones weren't there and landed his landscaping trailer all over it. Of course, it was wrecked, and now they have to face the cost of the repairs… Interesting, right? Let's read and see what happened.
