The Washington Commanders are continuing their playoff run, as they're now headed to Detroit to take on the Lions in the Divisional round. Washington's resurgence as a franchise has been one of the best stories in the NFL this season. Jayden Daniels has completely changed the trajectory of the Commanders, who are set up for success beyond this year.

One player who is reaping the benefits is Terry McLaurin, who had a career-high 13 touchdowns in 2024. One area Washington will look to address in the offseason is surrounding Daniels with more playmakers, notably placing a viable No.2 next to McLaurin.

Jaime Eisner of the Draft Network had Washington select Ohio State wideout Emeka Egbuka with the No.26 overall pick in his recent mock draft.

Let's continue to add weapons around Jayden Daniels. Terry McLaurin is entrenched as the WR1, but a true WR2 is needed. Emeka Egbuka is a great fit. Egbuka is a strong route-runner and RAC threat who can hold down the slot for years to come as Daniels' safety blanket with big-play potential.

Egbuka spent his entire four year career with the Buckeyes, logging 199 catches for 2,804 yards and 24 touchdowns. Pairing Egbuka with McLaurin, who both attended Ohio State, would give Daniels two remarkable targets in 2025 and beyond.
