Commanders linked to Tyreek Hill in brand new rumor

1 hour ago 2

The Washington Commanders might need a No. 2 WR as badly as any team in the league, aside from maybe the Las Vegas Raiders.

What if they sign Tyreek Hill?

Hill is the long-time Chiefs and Dolphins star who is now a free agent. He's also coming off a serious injury.

For us on the outside, there's no way of knowing just how healthy Hill is, so it's hard to say whether there's a perfect fit.

But with that caveat in mind, ESPN's Aaron Schatz suggested in a new article on Thursday that the last major move the Commanders need to make this offseason is signing Hill.

"The caveat here is 'if healthy,' but the Commanders could use a solid No. 2 receiver and a field stretcher who is a step up from Dyami Brown," Schatz writes. "They are currently third in cap space, so the economics work for them. Jayden Daniels is a dynamic young quarterback who could get the ball out to Hill."

Terry McLaurin is a great player, and he and Daniels have proven to have a strong connection.

Daniels also showed when he was a rookie that he can elevate the games of his wide receivers. The Commanders had multiple relative no-name players have strong pass catching games with Daniels throwing them the football.

Still, the best plan forward is likely to add another weapon. The Commanders have apparently decided they don't want to bring back Deebo Samuel. They've also been heavily linked to Brandon Aiyuk, but that situation remains messy with the 49ers.

If Hill is healthy, he could solve a lot of Washington issues in a hurry. If he's not healthy, though, this will just be a fool's dream, and the Commanders will have to keep looking elsewhere.
