Colts owner Carlie Irsay-Gordon sideline rumor goes viral despite being totally fake

Carlie Irsay-Gordon is unique as an NFL owner.

During Indianapolis Colts games, she can be spotted on the sideline, wearing a headset.

No, she's not calling plays. She's observing.

That doesn't stop people from getting confused about false accusations on the Internet.

A viral post with more than 2.5 million views on X says that Irsay-Gordon began to annoy the Colts by asking questions in the middle of games:

The Colts had internal discussions regarding Owner Carlie Irsay-Gordon’s sideline presence and if it was becoming a distraction.

“It wasn’t a problem until she started asking questions in the middle of the ——ing game.”

That's simply not true.

The poster has "parody account" in its description, so it's not actually sharing real news here. It just shared something it hoped would go viral and get engagement, and it worked.

Irsay-Gordon has spoken in the past about simply wanting to know how the people in her organization work through various situations and solve problems.

And the Colts' coaches and players have shared great praise for how she handles herself.

This isn't actually an issue, despite what the engagement-seeking account would have you believe.
