The Indianapolis Colts have added another name to the list of potential defensive coordinators.

After parting ways with Gus Bradley, whose contract expired following the 2024 season, the Colts have begun interviewing potential replacement options.

The latest name added to the list is former New Orleans Saints head coach and defensive coordinator Dennis Allen, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

The interview is reportedly scheduled to take place Friday.

Allen has been coaching in the NFL since he entered the league with the Atlanta Falcons in 2002 as a defensive assistant coach and quality control coach (2002-2005).

He then joined the New Orleans Saints as the assistant defensive line coach (2006-2007) and secondary coach (2008-2010) before getting his first defensive coordinator gig with the Denver Broncos (2011).

Allen got his first experience as a head coach with the Oakland Raiders (2012-2014), a role he held for three seasons while accumulating a 16-32 record.

Allen then re-joined the Saints coaching staff as the interim defensive coordinator and senior defensive assistant coach (2015).

He again got a gig as a defensive coordinator with the Saints, holding that role from 2016-2021 before serving as the head coach after Sean Payton's exit since 2022.
