Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes suffered a second straight loss after a bye week. This time a 52-17 defeat to Arizona at home, which is the second consecutive game an opponent has hit half a hundred on the Buffs.
Despite the bad showing, there is a silver lining for Coach Prime's team. If the World Series didn't go to seven games between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Toronto Blue Jays, the Colorado-Arizona game would've been placed on FOX; instead of FS1. Considering this wasn't put in front of a national network audience is a blessing at this point.
The game carry on slowly in the second half. Here are some of the extracurricular things that happened during the broadcast. After the student section hit the exits at halftime, the fans left stripped down and formed their own crowd of half-naked gathering. Tim Brando channeled his inner Howard Cosell at the request of his broadcast partner Devin Gardner. There was even a call by Brando to play on during a blatant targeting call. It was pretty bad.
On the bright side, Cleveland Browns rookie QB Shedeur Sanders made his way back to Boulder for homecoming. But it was one to forget on the bye week.
Needless to say, Colorado needs a tune up from this point on. We'll see how it happens at 3-6 on the season. Time will tell if the Buffaloes will make any stark adjustments in the coming weeks.
