Despite having the odds stacked against him, Shedeur Sanders could see the field in 2025 with the Cleveland Browns.
ESPN's Dan Graziano predicts that least three of the Browns' current quarterbacks will start a game for them this year, meaning Sanders has a good shot to receive some type of playing time in his rookie campaign.
"Even if Flacco or Pickett opens the season as the starter, Cleveland needs to find out what it has in third-round pick Gabriel or fifth-round pick Sanders. It seems like an absolute slam-dunk that at least three quarterbacks will start games for the Browns this season," Graziano wrote.
With Deshaun Watson likely out for the season due to Achilles' surgery, Cleveland was incredibly active in the quarterback market this offseason. The team added Kenny Pickett through a trade with the Philadelphia Eagles, signed Joe Flacco, and selected Dillon Gabriel and Sanders in the draft.
The Browns will kick off the four-way quarterback competition in training camp next week, with Pickett and Flacco as the favorites due to their experience.
However, Gabriel and Sanders could also push for the starting spot if they impress in camp and the preseason.
Cleveland has had a revolving door at quarterback for most of their history. With the situation at the position more uncertain than ever, it's safe to assume that the team will shuffle through a few starting signal-callers in 2025, with Sanders likely being one of them.
