The Charlotte Hornets have been on a superb run recently. They might be 11th in the Eastern Conference standings, but they are on a six-game winning streak with their latest win on Friday against the San Antonio Spurs.
This has been a fantastic run for the Hornets, as they are beating some of the best teams in the league. At the same time, they are getting some blowout results like their 130-93 win against the Philadelphia 76ers.
Sexton praises Charles Lee's coaching
The players have been performing well, including LaMelo Ball, Brandon Miller, and Kon Knueppel. They are being put in the right positions by Charles Lee within his system.
As one of the veterans on the Hornets roster, Collin Sexton has seen a lot of promising developments for Lee. He is only in his second year as an NBA head coach, and there is already something good brewing in Charlotte.

Lee is an experienced assistant coach, as he has been in the NBA since 2014. He even won two championships, one with the Milwaukee Bucks in 2021 and the Boston Celtics in 2024.
Now, he is with the Hornets, and he has been part of a lengthy rebuild. It looks like it is paying off in recent weeks due to their success. He has set a superb culture within the Hornets, as they hold themselves accountable.
"We're responding well to criticism, and we're responding well to our teammates and our brothers coming up to us and like, 'Yo, I need more from you.' No one's trying to show each other up. We're just here to help, and we're here to try to get wins," Sexton said after beating the Spurs.
With this kind of accountability happening behind the scenes, Lee has done well to spearhead this team. At the same time, Lee is not shy to celebrate with his players, which has continued to strengthen the franchise's culture.
