Just two teams remain in the College World Series, and they have vastly different histories.
LSU is looking to capture its second title in the last three seasons. The Tigers have won seven total national championships, with the first coming in 1991 and the most recent coming in 2023.
Coastal Carolina, on the other hand, is seeking its second title and first since 2016. The Chanticleers defeated the Tigers in the super regionals of that 2016 run.
Those two games between Coastal Carolina and LSU marked the only time these programs have ever crossed paths. Now, the Chanticleers and Tigers will share the spotlight on college baseball's biggest stage.
