College football analyst takes brutal shot at Kirby Smart's shortcomings as Bulldogs head coach, makes unfavorable prediction for Tennessee-Georgia matchup

Georgia is not having a good season so far with a 7-2 overall and 5-2 conference record. After hearing Fox Sports' Joel Klatt's unforgiving verdict on their offense ahead of a matchup vs Tennessee this Saturday with massive College Football Playoff implications, Bulldogs head coach Kirby Smart's spirits might drop even lower.

"I think Georgia controls their own destiny," Klatt asserted on The Herd with Colin Cowherd. "I will say this about Georgia just really quickly: the offense isn't even close to what they have been in the last couple of years. They were top five in offense each of the last two seasons, they're 50th this year. They have dropped more passes than anybody in the SEC and the the offensive line is not even close and they're totally disconnected by the way.

"People can blame Carson Beck all they want, and I get it, the quarterback is always going to get the line share of the credit, and the line share of the blame. He's a lot of the blame, particularly because of the turnovers, 14 turnovers in his last six games, and that's by the way the most turnovers over the last six games in anybody in college football that has to get cleaned up. However nothing around him is going right, the O-line is playing terrible. They got eaten up by Ole Miss," Klatt said, not holding back any punches, drying Georgia's dirty laundry in front of everyone ahead of an important clash. It's totally disjointed right now for Kirby's offense and so their defense is going to have to go win this against Tennessee. If they're going to win, it's going to have to be a low-scoring game."

Kirby Smart's Georgia Bulldogs still alive in the College Football Playoff picture

The Bulldogs were ranked No. 12 in Week 12 of College Football Playoff Rankings, which means that they are the first team out of the 12-team playoff bracket -- and the team in the bubble bracket with the highest chance to make it back in the top 12.

If Smart wins their next showdown against Tennessee, and Massachusetts and Georgia Tech following that, they will end their season at 10-2; a good record that could end them in the top 12, if the teams already in the top 12 lose again.
