Cody Rhodes is returning to the WWE and repping Atlanta while at it.
The wrestling legend is the newest guest star on Episode 2 of the ESPN original series “Stephanie’s Places,” which is a 10-part episodic series brought to you by Peyton Manning's Omaha Productions starring host Stephanie McManon, as she chronicles the journeys of some of the most prolific names in WWE history. One of those names is, of course, Cody Rhodes, whom she meets at Center Stage Theater in Atlanta.
Along the way, Rhodes chats with McManon about his career, his love affair with Atlanta and real-life love Brandi, whom he married in 2013 after a four-year partnership. Within the episode, Rhodes reveals it was his wife that made the first move.

“She was in the hall, and they'd given her real Texas big hair. I was telling her, as her peer, you can't go out there like that, and to her it was this entry-level flirtation,” he told McMahon, adding, “I thought she was beautiful, the most amazing eyes I've ever seen in my life, locked in, but at that moment I was legit telling her. Once she assumed that I had flirted with her, and I went to give the half-hug, which is an appropriate hug for peers, and she blew in my ear. And, at that point, I thought Dashing Cody Rhodes is a real thing."
Back to Atlanta, Center Stage Theater is where Rhodes fell in love with the sport of wrestling. This also spawned the memory of Rhodes’ decision to walk away from the WWE. "I had to create stories about, 'oh this person was pushing me down, I've got to show them,' you need all of that. When you leave anywhere, you have to legit burn the boats cause the fear is, if you're out in the ocean, you're going to want to swim back.”

He added: "I would have been the laughing stock of the business had that not worked out ... scared to death for sure, but the classic 'saddling up,' that's really how I approach everybody in our world."
