Outfielder Cody Bellinger exited with a hamstring injury after legging out a double in Philadelphia, raising the level of concern for manager Aaron Boone.

Bellinger suffered a hamstring injury while turning a single into a double on Saturday. He initially stayed in the game as a baserunner after looking uncomfortable at the end of the play, but he was replaced between innings.

After the win, Boone said the injury "looks like it could be something" but added that the team doesn't know much more. Bellinger will undergo tests before the Yankees determine whether he suffered a hamstring strain.

Bellinger told reporters after the game that he "just kind of felt something" around second base, adding, "We'll see how I wake up tomorrow and go from there." Bellinger said he made the decision to come out of the game but doesn't think the injury will be anything "too serious," while cautioning that he doesn't have any experience with hamstring injuries.

Bellinger, the reigning All-Star Game MVP, is in the midst of a long home run drought but had hits in seven of eight games since the break and was 2-for-4 on Saturday before the injury.

Max Schuemann replaced Bellinger in the outfield, but replacing someone who has played all but two games this season for an extended period would likely take a combination of players.

Bellinger is a valuable defender, but his offensive numbers are down from last season after slumping ahead of the All-Star break. The former MVP hit just .183 in his last 22 games of the first half, and he hasn't hit a home run since June 17.

Still, losing Bellinger for any kind of extended period would be a difficult blow for the Yankees' lineup just as it looked like he was starting to find his stroke again at the plate.
