On a brutal day for American stars at the U.S. Open, Coco Gauff offered a bright spot.
Gauff, the No. 4 seed, rolled past Spain’s Cristina Bucșa in straight sets, 6-3, 6-4, to advance to the Round of 16.

Gauff will face either Iva Jovic or Alexandra Eala in the next round.
