CM Punk and Cody Rhodes to get involved in John Cena Tournament match in huge twist? Potential explored

Cody Rhodes and CM Punk are set to team up along with Roman Reigns and The Usos to take on Team Paul Heyman at Survivor Series WarGames. While Punk only appears on RAW, he could make a surprise appearance and accompany Cody Rhodes to get involved in the Last Time is Now Tournament.

On the November 21 edition of SmackDown, Bronson Reed will take on Carmelo Hayes in a first-round match of the Last Time is Now Tournament. Reed is a part of Team Paul Heyman and demolished Cody Rhodes last week despite failing to win the WWE Championship in an impromptu title match.

Tonight, Punk and Cody Rhodes could interfere in Bronson Reed's match against Carmelo Hayes to cost their upcoming opponent a potential match against John Cena. This would allow Hayes to pick up an upset win, and also protect Reed despite having him lose to the former NXT Champion.

However, this angle remains speculation for now, and it remains to be seen how the match between Hayes and Reed plays out.

The first two quarter-final matches of the Last Time is Now Tournament have already been announced. On the November 24 edition of WWE RAW, the winner of Penta vs. Finn Balor will face Solo Sikoa for a spot in the semis.

On the other hand, the winner of Carmelo Hayes vs. Bronson Reed will face former World Heavyweight Champion Gunther in the quarter-final. The Ring General returned to programming for the first time since SummerSlam last week to pick up a win against NXT's JeVon Evans in the first round.

Reed vs. Gunther would be an incredible matchup of two behemoths if The Auszilla can win tonight. On the other hand, Hayes vs. Gunther would be a different kind of battle, seemingly aligning with a David vs. Goliath situation.
