A dimwitted mob chased a trio of Federal Air Marshals from a Los Angeles restaurant Wednesday night after mistaking them for ICE agents.

The three marshals were dining at a Korean barbecue restaurant at Plaza Mexico in Lynwood when the rumor spread and a crowd rushed to confront them, CBS reported.

Videos shared on social media showed protesters swarming the shopping center and calling for ICE agents to leave the area.
Dozens of deputies came to the air marshals’ aid and escorted them to a van, where they were driven from the scene. There were no reported injuries.
The apparent case of mistaken identity occurred around 6:20 p.m. at Plaza Mexico on the 3100 block of E. Imperial Hwy in Lynwood.
