The Cleveland Browns are in the midst of a largely underwhelming quarterback battle. Kenny Pickett, Joe Flacco, Dillon Gabriel, and Shedeur Sanders have been competing all offseason for the starting job. Pickett suffered a hamstring injury, which has left the door open for the other three to lock down the QB1 spot on the depth chart.
While the 2025 season has yet to begin, there are plenty of fans already looking ahead to the 2026 NFL Draft, where the Browns will all but certainly take a quarterback. Browns owner Jimmy Haslam was asked about his connections to the Manning family, and if Arch Manning is on the Browns' radar.
“I don’t know Arch at all," Haslam said. "I bet he stays in college two more years. I don’t even think that’s worth discussing.”
These discussions largely began after Colin Cowherd of Fox Sports suggested that the Browns would try to hire Nick Saban as head coach and draft Manning in 2026.
While Haslam says one thing, it should all be taken with a grain of salt. Owners and GMs are never going to publicly tip their hands. If Arch Manning were to come out in 2026, the Browns would be doing themselves a disservice if they didn't to their homework and show some interest.
