The Cleveland Browns have done some good in the offseason, but not nearly enough. No matter who is under center for them next fall, it’s obvious that Cleveland has to add to its wide receiver room.
Daniel Fisher of Sports Illustrated thinks Stefon Diggs to Cleveland could be a potential fit, even if the scenario feels like a long shot at this stage of the offseason.
“This may sound like a long shot, but wide receiver Stefon Diggs is still available in the open market after the first week of free agency. If teams overlook him like they did last offseason, he could end up playing for a team that’s not quite the best fit, and the Browns could become a potential option,” Fisher wrote.
After landing with the New England Patriots, he played a key role in helping elevate the team to a Super Bowl appearance and posted over 1,000 yards along the way.
The Browns are still searching for anything at wide receiver, with Jerry Jeudy currently leading the group. Adding a player like Diggs would change a lot of this current situation. Remember, the Browns are also set to lose David Njoku, so he’s another pass catcher who won’t be there.
Diggs isn’t the same player he was a few years ago, but he’s a nice player and would help.
