Russell Wilson and Ciara are grieving the loss of a cherished member of their family, as the New York Giants quarterback announced that their Dalmatian, Naomi, has died at the age of 12.

Wilson shared the news on Instagram on Feb. 13, posting photos that captured moments with Naomi over the years. One image showed him relaxing beside her, while another featured Naomi alongside Prince, the couple’s other Dalmatian who passed away in 2025. The post reflected both heartbreak and gratitude for the time they shared with her.

“Our sweet Naomi,” Wilson wrote. “Thank you for over 12 years of cuddles, kisses, and loyalty. You brought so much love to our family and gave us so many happy memories.” He added a message that connected the loss to the family’s recent past, writing, “You’re back with your soulmate Prince now in Doggy Heaven! We Love you always ❤️.”

The loss comes just about a year after Wilson and Ciara said goodbye to Prince, who died following a battle with cancer. At the time, Wilson described Prince as “a blessing to our family,” reflecting on the many memories the dog shared with their children and emphasizing the emotional impact of the loss.

Naomi and Prince had been part of Wilson’s life since the early days of his NFL career. He previously shared that he got the dogs during his rookie year, making them a constant presence throughout his journey in football and family life.

Over the years, Wilson has spoken openly about how important their dogs were to their household. In a 2019 interview tied to the Banfield Foundation’s Safer Together initiative, he described the chaos and comfort that came with having large dogs at home. “Ciara and I will be trying to have a date night, watching a movie, and all of a sudden there’s three great Danes laying across our laps,” he said, highlighting how their pets were deeply woven into everyday moments.
