CINCINNATI — An already thin Mets pitching rotation is losing another component.
Christian Scott is headed to the injured list, The Post confirmed, leaving the rotation in flux. The Post’s Jon Heyman reported that Scott is dealing with a hip issue that isn’t deemed serious.
Scott has joined Freddy Peralta and Nolan McLean to give the Mets a respectable top three in the rotation, but there are questions beyond that.
Mets starter Christian Scott is going on the IL with a hip injury. Robert Sabo for NY PostSean Manaea has just begun looking better after struggling to begin the season and David Peterson has scuffled in recent appearances.
Another starter, Kodai Senga, has been sidelined since late April, but could be nearing a return.
Scott, who missed last season rehabbing from Tommy John surgery, has pitched to a 3.10 ERA in nine starts this season.
The Athletic first reported Scott was headed to the IL.
