Chiefs urged to trade for $19 million star to boost the offesne

The Kansas City Chiefs know the easiest way to get to a Super Bowl is to ensure that quarterback Patrick Mahomes has enough playmakers around him.

Mahomes is one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL, but he needs to have the guys who can make a play when he does something incredible.

Kansas City has some solid receivers, such as Xavier Worthy, Rashee Rice, and Marquise Brown, but the team could use another.

Enzo Flojo from ClutchPoints thinks the Chiefs should trade for New Orleans Saints star receiver Chris Olave.

"The Chiefs’ wide receiver corps is more potential than production right now. Mahomes can maximize mid-tier talent. Still, when games slow down in January, he needs a WR1 who can separate, finish routes, and win one-on-one. That’s what Chris Olave brings, "Flojo wrote. "Olave has battled injuries, including multiple concussions. When healthy, however, he’s a top-15 wide receiver in the league. He’s a clean route runner with deceptive speed and the ability to attack all areas of the field. Adding Olave would instantly raise the ceiling — and perhaps more importantly, the floor — of Kansas City’s offense."

Olave has been with the Saints for three years, playing in 39 games, recording 2,565 yards and 10 scores.

Olave is entering the final year of his four-year, $19 million contract, but he does have a fifth-year option picked up for the 2026 season, so he could be with the Chiefs for two years if the team decides to trade for him.
