The Kansas City Chiefs need wide receiver help. Rashee Rice is hurt right now, and even when he comes back, it's going to be hard to fully trust him as a focal point of the offense.
Xavier Worthy has been a disappointment, leaving Patrick Mahomes with a few backups in the WR room and Travis Kelce at tight end as his target options. They desperately need a new WR, and they're already looking to make a move.
ESPN's Ben Solak proposed a few possible trade ideas for the Chiefs, including a wild one that would send a 1st-round pick and more to the New York Jets to land superstar WR Garrett Wilson.
Chiefs trade idea lands Jets' Garrett Wilson for huge three-piece haul
"5. Send Worthy, a 2028 first-round pick and a 2027 third-round pick to Jets for Garrett Wilson," Solak proposed. "Of all the untouchable star receivers on losing football teams (Nico Collins on the 2-5 Texans, Smith on the 2-5 Eagles, etc.), Wilson is the one I can maybe see moving within the next two weeks."
Wilson is obviously a huge long shot to be traded this season. The Jets have shown no indication they're willing to trade Wilson, especially after their fire sale last year didn't include the wide receiver.
But the Jets should at least entertain offers for Wilson. This trade idea from Solak might get them to consider such a stunning deal.

Worthy plus first- and third-round picks would be a strong haul for the Jets in return for Wilson. It's not the two first-rounders they got for Sauce Gardner from the Indianapolis Colts last season, but this is an offer that might move the needle.
A Wilson trade is highly unlikely, and the Chiefs will almost certainly have to settle for a lesser wide receiver trade. But if the Jets are open to a blockbuster trade, they should make a real effort to land Wilson.
Chiefs fans shouldn't hold out hope for a Wilson trade, but they also shouldn't completely rule it out just yet. While Mahomes and Andy Reid surely would love Wilson, and this proposal would make sense for KC, the Jets are not likely to move the superstar WR.
