If there was any question about whether Patrick Mahomes would be ready to be the franchise quarterback he's always been for the Kansas City Chiefs after his ACL and LCL tears, that's really been put to rest.

The Chiefs are undefeated going into their Week 7 game, which is against the reigning Super Bowl champions, the Seattle Seahawks. Mahomes is a big part of why this team is cooking again, and his return to the head of this team isn't going unnoticed.

Following the NFL's Week 6 games, Garrett Podell of CBS Sports released a feature looking at the current class of quarterbacks. For Mahomes, he points out that he's doing something better than anyone else in the NFL right now.

Patrick Mahomes is the NFL's best at throwing outside the pocket

Mahomes is the best in the NFL at completing passes outside the pocket. According to the CBS Sports report, Mahomes leads the league in that category.

In the piece, Podell notes that Mahomes "looks like his normal self post-ACL tear" and that "no one is better when throwing outside the pocket."

In a separate piece, Henry McKenna of Fox Sports points out that having running back Kenneth Walker III is huge.

"No coincidence that Mahomes is having an unreal season against pressure while Walker has been unreal against stacked boxes. It's just two players defying everything we know about football," he notes. "It's two players who are on another level. That's why it hasn't mattered so much who is playing left tackle or wide receiver for the Chiefs."

So, having a Super Bowl MVP-winning running back certainly helps. But, that doesn't take away from the banner season Mahomes is enjoying.
