The feeling of entering a season without a new banner to raise has got to be a little strange for the Kansas City Chiefs.
In February's Super Bowl, the Chiefs were embarrassed by the Philadelphia Eagles. And what was striking was that while the Chiefs had superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes, the entire Eagles team resembled a Pro Bowl roster by comparison.
It's not always easy to add star talent, especially when you've got an established core and a highly-paid quarterback. But the Chiefs may be able to squeeze one more big contract under their salary cap this season if they can find the right fit via trade.
One football analyst has a clear idea of who that star could be.
During a recent live stream, Bleacher Report contributor Mitch Milani suggested that the Chiefs should acquire seven-time Pro Bowl cornerback Jalen Ramsey in a trade from the Miami Dolphins.
“(Ramsey) can do everything well, and the thing about him is he can be almost interchangeable with Trent McDuffie. He could almost play safety, as well. So just think about the scheme advantage that Jalen Ramsey would provide for the Kansas City Chiefs," Milani said.

"You can have so many different match ups where you could man-cover players consistently like they did to beat the (San Francisco) 49ers in the Super Bowl a couple years ago... (I) love the idea of Ramsey playing for a contender again.”
Ramsey hardly needs an introduction. He's a three-time first team All-Pro, and he's only entering his age-31 season. It seems a near certainty that he'll be traded before the final season of his three-year, $72 million contract.
The only question at this point is where Ramsey is headed. And the allure of a championship push has to be appealing even if the Chiefs don't play on his preferred West Coast.
