Chicago White Sox are shockingly named as possible Mike Trout landing spot for obvious reason

The Chicago White Sox have been one of the most surprising teams in MLB this season. Sitting at 29-27 and in 2nd place in the American League Central, they, much like just about every AL team, have a real shot at the MLB playoffs.

This begs the question of how active they will be at the MLB trade deadline, and how in the world are they linked to Mike Trout, and why does the obvious reason make sense?

Mike Trout is predicted to be traded

Per Bleacher Report's Kerry Miller, Mike Trout is one of three outfielders he predicts will be dealt this trade cycle.

In that same piece, Miller drops the White Sox as a *potential* landing spot.

"Meanwhile, the Chicago White Sox have an abundance of wiggle room in the budget (both now and for the next five years) and a winning record in spite of an "as CF" batting split of zero home runs and a .585 OPS. If they aren't at least forcing the Angels to repeatedly say no on Trout, they aren't doing their due diligence."

A collective .585 OPS from your center fielders is pretty rough. The center fielder listed on the White Sox official depth chart is Tristan Peters.

Miller does go on to admit that several other teams, along with the White Sox, have poor enough center field play to make a move for Trout.

Now, nobody is really saying (or believing) with full belief that Mike Trout will actually be dealt, but some speculation is warranted, and every MLB fan wants to see Mike Trout (now fully healthy) in the playoffs... or at least a playoff push.

Is that so much to ask for? And Trout would actually look good in a Southside uniform. Mike Trout is hitting .239 this season with 13 home runs, 30 RBI, and 47 hits.
